Adele likes vintage talons

Adele prefers to have vintage-inspired nails.

While many stars have been delving into the world of contemporary nail art, Adele prefers to keep things more simple. Her manicurist Zoe Pocock explained the star looks to the olden days for inspiration.

“Adele likes a long oval nail. It’s a vintage shape and length,” she explained to the latest edition of UK InStyle.

Although the 24-year-old singer keeps her nail length and shape simple, she plays around with polish. Adele enjoys using nail wraps to give her fingers some zing and has made unusual requests when it comes to the colours she’s wanted too.

“She asked for metallic strips for a recent appearance on a UK TV show; metallic gold wraps for a pre-Grammy show and for the Grammy Awards, we did Ciaté's Caviar Manicure using Ciaté's Paint Pot in Jewel [purple flecked with gold] on the tops of her nails,” Zoe explained. “She also wanted a Louboutin effect, with red underneath the nail, so I slicked polish on the underside of her nails.”
