"Admit your boob jobs, please!"
24 May – Mainland China actress Chen Meixing (also known as "Little Hujing" after the more established actress) is showing off her new breasts after famously coming forward to publicly confess and endorse a breast enlargement surgery earlier, reported Chinese media.
She has released a set of new photos depicting various seductive poses in a painting studio.
Previously, she went to the extent of posting photos of her surgery online.
Chen Meixing was quoted as saying in an earlier interview: "An actress should show her most beautiful side to a camera. This is also out of respect for the art. Doing this [breast augmentation] is worthwhile."
She also shook her head to those artistes in Chinese show biz who resorted to plastic surgeries and yet refuse to admit it. "Beautification is not just for oneself. It's also for the viewership. Don't underestimate their perception. They are actually very understanding," she said.
Some netizens said that Chen Meixing's gaining fame overnight after the surgery is due to the publicity stunt and that most people's desire to voyeur has been fulfilled. Others praised her courage and outspokenness, as she is noted as the first artiste in Mainland China to publicly admit to getting a boob job.
