Aishwarya to act again in 2015
21 Dec – Having gone into hiatus after welcoming motherhood, Bollywood actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set for her comeback via the Hindi movie, "Jazbaa".
The actress and wife to Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in 2010's "Guzaarish" before giving birth to the couple's first child.
The Sanjay Gupta film is a thriller set in Mumbai revolving around three main characters; a lawyer, a suspended police officer and a school teacher.
"I chose Aishwarya because India is a completely male-driven society and so is its cinema. The fact that this will be the first film in nearly five years with which she returns to the cinema screens is an added bonus," said Gupta to Variety.
Rai Bachchan will be joined by actors Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi.
According to Variety, the film will commence shooting in mid-January next year with a worldwide release planned for the third quarter of 2015.
