Ambiga urges MPs to listen to ‘loud message’ from Bersih 4

Former Bersih 2.0 co-chairman Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan wants all members of parliament (MP) to move a vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s leadership in Parliament after the "loud message" sent by tens of thousands of Malaysians who rallied during Bersih 4 today. Ambiga said during her speech at the rally that all lawmakers should push for Najib’s resignation. "We are here because we love Malaysia. And I know we have friends from Umno who are also here and I want to ask them if now you know how wonderful it is to talk to the public," she said. She said that the people had sent a "loud" message to the government with the rally today, with one of their demands being the resignation of Najib. Najib has been under intense pressure after it was revealed, among others, that RM2.6 billion was deposited into his personal accounts in a local bank. "Our MPs have to put forward a vote of no-confidence in the Parliament," she added. She praised those who came for the rally today as "wonderful Malaysians". The rally will conclude at midnight tomorrow. – August 29, 2015.
