22 Jan - Veteran Hindi film composer, Aadesh Shrivastava, recently stated that he would be putting together an album which will foreground the themes of peace and love, and in order to convey the message, the award-winning composer knew that he had to use a popular personality such as veteran Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan, according to Masala.
However, the award-winning actor will not be the only star of the album, for American pop singer Akon will also be featured in the album. After his rendition of "Chammak Challo" last year, Akon instantly shot to household fame in India, hence, it comes as no surprise that if anyone should collaborate with Amitabh, it would be Akon.
It appeared that recordings sessions for the album have already begun, because it was then that both Aadesh and Amitabh felt that it would be good to have another icon such as Akon, whose songs have millions of listeners all over the world to promote the album's message.
When asked if he is prepared for the hurdles that would come, Aadesh merely dismissed the idea as he felt that the cause behind the album was a noble one and one that both Amitabh and Akon strongly believed in.
According to Aadesh, Amitabh and Akon's first performance for the album would take place around March in Mumbai. There are also plans to bring the two icons together in New York for a performance to commemorate 9/11 in September later this year.
