Angelababy gets apology

Angelababy gets apology

4 May - Hong Kong-based publication Three Weekly has issued a statement apologising for its untruthful reports about Angelababy's facelifts, in the latest development to frequent media speculation about the Chinese beauty.

It ran a much-publicised feature story in July 2010, detailing how the 22-year-old Shanghai-born model's face has transformed over the past seven years.

Another report was published a week later, saying her boyfriend, actor Huang Xiao Ming supports Angelababy and denied she had undergone surgeries to achieve her look.

"Three Weekly sincerely apologises for the harm and inconvenience caused by the abovementioned reports." the statement read.

Angelababy (Angela Yeung Wing) tweeted on her microblog: "I thank my company for seeking justice for me.

Angelababy's career began when she was spotted by Style International Inc. at the age of 17 and entered the modelling industry that year (2007). She then featured as a dancer in Jay Chou's concert in Hong Kong.

Her fashion icon status bloomed after her romance with Mainland Chinese heartthrob Huang Xiao Ming was exposed.
