Japan's exports drop in October

TOKYO – Japan's finance ministry says exports in October dropped 23.2 percent from a year earlier.

The ministry said Wednesday exports tumbled to 5.3 trillion yen ($60 billion), marking the 13th consecutive month of decline.

Imports in October also tumbled 35.6 percent year-on-year to 4.5 trillion yen, resulting in a trade surplus of 807.1 billion yen.
