The British luxury sports car manufacturer Aston Martin saw its Chinese sales grow enormously in 2011 with 72 percent growth in line with the heavy growth in Chinese luxury car market. It was reported that Marcel Fabris, marketing and communications manager for the Asia-Pacific region had reportedly confirmed that the manufacturer sold a total of 190 vehicles in China last year. The figure is 72.7 percent than the amount sold in 2010.

According to reports, with the manufacturer's global sales having dropped from 4,250 vehicles in 2010 to 4,200 in 2011, the growing importance of the Chinese market becomes all the more clearer. It was mentioned that according to Matthew Bennett, director for the Asia-Pacific region, Aston Martin's sales target for 2012 is set at an ambitious 500 vehicles.

The reports mentioned that currently, Europe constitutes for 55 percent to 60 percent of Aston Martin's sales, while the US accounts for 30 percent. The remaining ten to 15 percent of the manufacturer's sales come from the Asia-Pacific region.
