ATV denies going under at the end of March

27 Mar – Troubled Hong Kong broadcasting company, ATV, has recently dismissed allegations saying that it is going under by the end of the month.

According to South China Morning Post, on 26 March, the company issued a statement denying that its major investor Wong Ching had even made such a statement that was previously reported by Caixin News.

However, ATV admitted that the meeting with its two prospective saviours did not go as well as it hoped it would be, though Wong Ching was moved by the company's fighting spirit and the support it received from the public.

The company managed to pay the second instalment of its license fee a few minutes before the deadline last Wednesday.

No details about ATV's next course of action yet at the time of writing.
