Auto China 2012: Ten cars not to be missed

This week, one of the world's most important auto shows gets underway in Beijing, with Chinese and international automakers showing new products destined for the world's largest car market. Here, a selection of cars to see at the show, which runs through May 2.

Aston Martin Dragon 88 styling
The new Dragon 88 styling will be available for all Aston Martin models and comes complete with gold plating, gold and red exterior color choices and ten-spoke 'dragon edition' alloy wheels.

BYD-Daimler Denza concept
The Denza Chinese New Energy Vehicle (NEV) is the first new model from the BYD and Daimler partnership, blending BYD's EV know-how with Daimler's automotive design pedigree.

Chrysler 300C Ruyi Concept
Chrysler's re-entry into China could be spearheaded by this sleek black model, a concept blending the Chrysler 300 design with traditional Chinese symbols. Ruyi means "as one wishes."

Fiat Viaggio
The Viaggio is a four-door sedan which is set to launch in the summer with a 1.4-liter engine.

Jeep Wrangler Dragon Design Concept
Another Dragon-themed model for the 'Year of the Dragon' features gold dragon accents on the exterior and headrests.

Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupé with Jessie J
Mercedes-Benz drafted in superstar Jessie J to unveil its new Concept Style Coupé, a compact model aimed at wealthy urban consumers in China's thriving cities.

MG Icon
Designed to pay tribute to the MGA and MGB, the MG Icon concept is a hatch bearing more than a slight resemblance to the Mini Cooper and the Nissan Juke. The concept is spacious, with rear-hinged doors new to the brand.

Range Rover Evoque Special Edition
Victoria Beckham was on hand to launch this special-edition Evoque in a bid to maximize the British luxury theme. It is finished in matt grey paint, 20" wheels and rose-gold details.

Renault Talisman
The Talisman sedan will launch in mid-June 2012 with a base price of 318 800 RMB (€38,652).

Toyota Yundong Shuangqing concept
With Chinese buyers increasingly adopting hybrids instead of electric vehicles, this concept adopts Toyota's famous Prius hybrid technology for a China-only concept model.
