Best New Toys of 2012 announced at Toy Fair
On January 24 the winners of the Best New Toy Awards were announced at the annual Toy Fair, held this year at London's Olympia January 24-26.
The Toy Fair in London, now in its 59th edition, is one of the most important toy industry events of the year. Along with the Nuremberg Toy Fair (February 1-6) and the Toy Fair in New York (February 12-15), the Toy Fair in London helps set toy trends for the coming year and is instrumental in dictating what will be this year's 'must-have' items.
The annual Best New Toy awards span a wide range of categories including Action figures/ Accessories, Construction/Building sets, Games and puzzles, Girls, and Infant/Preschool among others; previous winners have included a light saber, last year's hit Zhu Zhu Puppies and Lego's Hogwarts Castle.
