First, the good news for car owners living in the north and using the Central Expressway (CTE).
From next Monday, electronic road-pricing charges for cars going south-bound before the Braddell gantry towards the direction of town will not have to pay a single cent during the morning peak period (down from 50 cents today).
Motorists using the PIE slip road into CTE between 730am and 8am will pay 50 cents less -- at S$3.00.
Here's the bad news: ERP rates for the four gantries along the southbound CTE after Braddell Road will go up to S$2 between 730 - 830am. That's 50 cents more than today's rates.
Between 8am- 830am, the new rate will be S$3, a full dollar more.
The new rates were announced as part of the quarterly review of ERP charges. All other rates remain unchanged.
