Harry vs Ron- Who makes a better boyfriend?
Just as there were heated debates over Prince William and Prince Harry's boyfriend-worthiness, we wanted to find out which of J.K. Rowling's boys would make a great boyfriend. Of course, it goes without saying that this is all in the spirit of hypothetical fun. We can't imagine Harry Potter and Ron Weasley arguing about this very "girly" Muggle matter. That being said, let's go ahead and see how these two magical cuties stack up against each other. (Now, if only the Sorting Hat could help us with in this very important undertaking.)
HARRY POTTER
Looks: Despite the scar on his forehead, Harry's dark hair and piercing green eyes are sure to make any girl swoon. He's a certified cutie—even if he makes no effort to make himself look good.
Vibe: Girls are drawn to Harry because they think he is mysterious and brooding. They want to cheer him up and take care of him.
Fashion: Harry's trademark glasses give him a geeky charm which many girls find adorable. Perhaps it's because Harry's spectacles make him look vulnerable and guileless. As for clothes, Harry is not one who likes flashy things. His outfits are wonderfully understated and not the least bit flashy. Subtlety is a very attractive style statement.
Skills: Harry is a sensational Quidditch player. He looks dashing when he's speeding on his broomstick and going after the Golden Snitch.
Assets: Harry owns some very useful tools that can come handy in the magic world. He has the Cloak of Invisibility, Marauder's Map and can create an massive Patronus.
Weaknesses: He's serious about revenge and he can have quite a temper when he's backed into a corner. He's also an orphan who has a lot of emotional issues after being treated badly for years by his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon, and cousin Dudley.
Boyfriend verdict: He's good boyfriend material—but you have to accept his "dark past" and his dysfunctional childhood. In any case, it's all worth it because he has a good heart and he's easy on the eyes.
RON WEASLEY
Looks: Ron is red-haired, freckled, and has a distinct nose. He's not exactly matinee idol material, but he does have his boyish charm and his height going for him.
Vibe: Funny and often-befuddled, Ron is guaranteed to be a little boy forever. Girls will be disarmed by his earnest and accidentally-comical gestures.
Fashion: Girls who fancy disheveled boys will be bowled over by Ron, who is often wearing his brothers' hand-me-downs. He's sure to be a hit with the eco-friendly set. Recycling is sexy.
Skills: He's an exceptional player of Wizard's Chess and is a very loyal friend.
Assets: He comes from a very quirky family who adores him. He may not be rich in material things, but he's got a lot of character.
Weaknesses: He tends to be immature and suffers from an inferiority complex because he's not very talented at magic.
Boyfriend verdict: Though he comes from a family of wizards, he's more like the boy-next-door. You just have to live with his scatterbrained moments. He'll make a good boyfriend because he's got a sense of humor and he's cute enough with his red hair.
