Body stuffed in trolley bag found off Sentosa

A decomposed male body was found in a luggage trolley bag in the waters off a construction site at Resorts World Sentosa on Saturday morning.

The bag was found by two foreign workers and brought ashore.

According to Chinese daily Shin Min Daily News, the male body had been placed inside a luggage bag and dumped at sea.

According to media reports, police said the body was clothed but had no identification. The police were informed at about 8.40am, and the man was pronounced dead by paramedics at 9.15 am.

The man is believed to have been dead for two to three days. The body was bloated and features were not discernible.

RWS is building two hotels, a spa and maritime museum at the construction site, which is situated behind Underwater World.

The police are investigating the case.

Separately, a 36-year-old Chinese national was also found dead with a bloodied face in Marina Boulevard on Thursday morning.

Police said a passerby alerted them at about 6 am of the body, which was lying face-up on a bench along a walkway at The Promontory@Marina Bay, reported local daily MyPaper.

The man, who was pronounced dead at 6.30 am, suffered a laceration to the backof his head, said the police. They have classified the case as an unnatural death.

There is no indication the death is gang-related and no weapons were found at the scene. It is believed that the man's wallet, with cash intact, was found. His haversack was also found near the body.
