A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) First Sergeant was jailed for two weeks on Tuesday for taking a video of his girlfriend's sister while she was bathing in her flat.

The incident happened on 11 July, last year, when the 27-year-old man used his mobile phone to film the sibling.

The court heard that the woman returned home and saw the accused playing with the computer in the living room. She then went to the kitchen toilet to have a shower.

In order to record the video, the accused stretched his arm over the top of the bathroom door and used his mobile phone to film her.

However, the victim spotted his hand as she reached for her towel. By the time she stepped out of the bathroom, the man had left the flat.

The 27-year-old, who was suspended from work since September 2010 and has since deleted the video, was not named to protect the victim's identity.

He could have been jailed up to a year, fined or both.
