The Football Association of Malaysia has released a statement that it is regretful over allegations made in The Straits Times that insinuate that there have been teams in the Malaysian Super League that have been involved in match-fixing.
Reports made have cited comments from a FIFA official Chris Eaton.
In response to these serious allegations made, the FAM has issued a letter to Chris Eaten asking him to describe in detail the meaning of this statements, as well as to provide any evidence that will lend legitimacy to his claims.
The FAM went on to state that it takes match-fixing and corruption very seriously and has various strategies in place to keep it at bay.
Reports in the media have made allusions to the specific teams and matches involving the LionsXII as having been match-fixed.
