Chris Brown ‘in Drake brawl’

Chris Brown is sporting a wound on his chin after reportedly fighting with Drake.

The music stars have had a strained relationship for some time and are alleged to have clashed in New York City nightclub WIP in the early hours of Thursday.

According to MediaTakeOut.com, the trouble began when Chris sent a bottle of champagne to Drake’s table in a bid to keep the peace.

Drake returned the expensive gift with a note that allegedly said, “I’m f**king the love of your life, deal with it.”

The message apparently referred to Chris’ ex-girlfriend Rihanna. There is speculation that Rihanna cheated on Chris with Drake during their tumultuous relationship. Since then, Chris is believed to have held a grudge against Drake, who has continued to enjoy an on-off romance with the Bajan singer.

Chris reportedly lost his temper after the champagne was returned and confronted Drake.

Drake is then alleged to have punched his rival in the face, while another member of his entourage struck Chris with a bottle.

Security guards quickly broke the fight up and Drake hastily left the club before police arrived on the scene after 4am. Chris is said to have gone to hospital to have his cut stitched up.

Other reports suggest rival rapper Meek Mill – who has also dated Rihanna in the past – was the one who attacked Chris.

However, Meek appears to be denying he was involved in the incident.

“It wasn't me.... (shaggy voice) lol (sic),” he tweeted this morning.

TMZ are reporting that five people suffered minor injuries including bruises and lacerations during the fight. No arrests were made.

Chris posted a photograph of his bloody chin on his Twitter account with the caption “Bottles? It's nothing! Lol (sic)”, but then later removed it.

He also posted a message which seemingly referred to the altercation.

"How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya! (sic)" he wrote.

Chris also reportedly followed this up with a series of furious posts, which were also subsequently deleted.
