Christian Louboutin to judge global hunt for new Martini face

French shoe guru Christian Louboutin has been announced as the international judge for a new hunt to find the latest female advertising star for Martini vermouth, with open castings set to take place across the globe.

The alcoholic beverage has been fronted by stars including Charlize Theron and Monica Bellucci in the past, but now it's looking for an unknown face to front an upcoming campaign.

Following a London launch on May 23, a host of open auditions will take place across 25 countries ranging from Brazil to Spain, South Africa and Italy as of May 28. Keep up to date via http://www.facebook.com/Martini.

Ladies unable to attend will also be able to upload a short video to Martini's Facebook page explaining why they should be the next face of the brand.

Louboutin will head up a high profile judging panel this October to reveal the eventual winner.

As well as scooping the chance to follow in the footsteps of Hollywood beauties such as Theron, the chosen model will also receive €150,000, 12 designer outfits and 12 pairs of the footwear creator's iconic shoes.

The Frenchman explained the type of woman he is looking for: "I am pleased to be a part of the judging panel for The Martini Royale Casting, and joining an iconic brand such as MARTINI on their search.

"Their philosophy of LUCK IS AN ATTITUDE is similar to my own personal motto in life -- why not? -- and I look forward to finding the woman who exemplifies both these maxims."
