Singapore set to welcome year—end festivities with Christmas light—up

SINGAPORE: Singapore is all set to welcome Christmas and the year—end shopping festivities.

Orchard Road — Singapore’s main shopping belt — is all aglow and glittering after the official light—up on Saturday evening.

Singapore’s President S R Nathan did the honours.

Besides the Orchard Road and Marina Bay shopping precincts, the decorations are also being extended to the Singapore River area.

Malls in the area have also joined in the Christmas festivities.
