10,000 join in family day outing organised by Vasantham and PA

SINGAPORE: Over 10,000 people on Sunday took part in a family day event jointly organised by MediaCorp’s Vasantham channel and the People’s Association’s Indian Activity Group, Narpani.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was guest of honour at the event, which was held at the Jurong Bird Park.

Mr Lee said that he was encouraged to see so many families getting together as such functions help build strong ties.

He also said MediaCorp’s Vasantham was doing well and hoped the Indian community will continue to support it.
