COE prices rise in all categories except small cars

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices for most vehicle categories rose in the latest bidding exercise Wednesday from the previous round on 5 September.

COE prices for big cars (1,600cc above) experienced the largest jump to S$88,500 from S$80,191 over the period.

Those for the open category rose almost S$2,000 to move to S$89,990, almost returning to the $90,000 mark again.

Premiums for commercial vehicles rose to S$57,809, while those for motorcycles rose slightly to S$1,852.

The only category to witness a decrease in price was for small cars (1,600cc and below) which fell from S$68,000 to close at S$63,000.
