    John Lautner Turns 100 tribute
    July 16 - November 13
    Los Angeles, CA and Marquette, MI, USA

    On the occasion of what would have been the visionary designer's 100th birthday, the John Lautner Foundation has partnered with the American Institute of Architects to organize a series of events showcasing his extraordinary body of work while "informing and inspiring the public about the importance of preserving it." Taking place in Los Angeles, California and Marquette, Michigan, the schedule includes exhibitions, film screenings, home tours, and more.

    Kenneth Grange: Making Britain Modern

    Kenneth Grange is Britain's leading product designer with a career spanning over 50 years and responsible for designing some of the most iconic and familiar products and appliances that shape our daily lives including Kodak cameras, Parker pens, or Kenwood mixers. This exhibition at the Design Museum is his first retrospective in the UK.

    15th Sydney Design 2011

    July 30 - August 14
    Sydney, NSW, Australia

    More than 50 venues across Sydney will highlight Australian design during the 15th edition of the two-week Sydney Design festival. The events all center around the theme of "Is old new again?" From architecture to fashion, the Sydney Design festival program includes exhibitions, seminars, installations, workshops, talks and tours. Similarly, Victoria's State of Design event is held July 20-31 and investigates how design can create sustainable development opportunities and improve living conditions.

    Ron Arad's Curtain Call
    August 9-29

    As part of Bloomberg Summer at the Roundhouse, architect and designer Ron Arad has invited his favorite artists to create unique work for his 360° interactive installation. Each day, visitors will be able to see pieces by Hussein Chalayan, Ori Gersht, Greenaway & Greenaway, Javier Mariscal, and many more.

    New York International Gift Fair

    August 13-18
    New York, USA

    This event is the second of two editions of the New York International Gift Fair held in 2011. The event is open to trade professionals only and attracts around 35,000 visitors per year. Earlier in 2011 the NYIGF honored a variety of products including those categorized as 'green'. The event attracts retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers' representatives. The categories of goods on display at the show range from home furnishings to fashion accessories and dog toys.
