Who Does Robert Pattinson Turn To For Style Advice? Gucci's Frida Giannini!

No, this is not an entirely gratuitous gallery of Robert Pattinson looking sharp in a suit - honest. Not that we need an excuse, of course. This array of droolsome shots is, in fact, in honour of a brilliant anecdote that we came across this morning involving Mr Pattz and one of our favourite brands...

We always knew that Gucci creative director Frida Giannini is a generous lady after she kindly kit out Rob in her dapper designs for David Cronenberg's new film 'Cosmopolis', but now it's been revealed that the dreamy actor has an extra special relationship with the Italian designer (how jeals are we?!).

'She taught me one thing — you should definitely have good contacts at Gucci,' R-Pattz told GQ.com. 'They're absolutely amazing. The amount of times I've been stuck in some random city and have called her up and had things brought in at absolutely the last minute — it's crazy.' Oh, to have Lady Giannini at the end of the blower!

Indeed, taking a trawl through our archive of Pattzy pics (such a tough job), it's clear to see that the actor has long been a fan of the brand and who can blame him when you have such a superstar designer on tap? Most recently, we've seen him all scrubbed up in a tux + bow-tie for the Cannes Film Festival as well as promoting his new film in Paris wearing a navy number with a salmon pink shirt, all thanks to Gucci's handy work. But our ultimate fave has to be the burgundy two-piece that he wore for the 'Eclipse' premiere back in June 2010 along with a white shirt, charcoal grey tie and that gloriously bequiffed hair.

'You can do quite crazy things [with colour] if you have incredibly classic, really well-made suits,' he says. 'I guess I've been quite boring for a while. I used to be more interesting with them. Now I always just request things two days before: "Can you send 25 suits?" I don't even know what I want to wear!'

So with Kristen Stewart smartening up her sartorial act thanks to her Balenciaga pals and boyfriend Pattz taking fashion tips from the head of Gucci, could these two become the most unexpectedly fashion-y couple in Hollywood?
