After scoring a brace against Germany to send Italy in to the finals of Euro 2012, Mario Ballotelli has been praised by football experts on Twitter, particularly for his second goal, which saw him slam the ball into the net from 20 yards out.
AFP football correspondent Tom Williams (@tomwfootball) expressed what many must have thought about Balotelli's stunning second goal, tweeting "You have to feel for football commentators sometimes. Not sure I could have described Balotelli's second goal without using an expletive."
Football expert Michael Cox (@Zonal_Marking) was also impressed with Balotelli's second, tweeting "Balotelli's second is a tremendous finish. Won't find many better one-on-one finishes."
Football insights site SoccerBible (@SoccerBible) prasied both Balotelli and his teammates, as well as commenting on the unexpected Italian defeat of the Germans, tweeting "Hands up who predicted that! Italy and Balotelli supreme, unbelievably made Germany look ordinary, roll on #Euro2012Final."
