Fire damages 5 motorcycles, 1 car outside Boon Lay Shopping Centre

Five motorcycles and a car were involved in a fire outside Boon Lay Shopping Centre at about 1am on Wednesday (17 October).

Police said they were alerted to a case of mischief by fire at 221 Boon Lay Place, early on Wednesday morning. No one was injured in the incident.

Eye-witnesses post videos

Videos posted on Facebook by an eye-witness showed Singapore Civil Defence Force firefighters using a water jet to extinguish the fire, which had engulfed the five motorcycles parked outside the shopping centre.

The eye-witness also took photos allegedly showing the charred remains of the motorcycles, with the adjacent car also badly damaged. Police are investigating the matter.
