A search has commenced for a full-time national serviceman reported missing on Sunday during a training exercise in Brunei.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Defense (Mindef), NSF lance-corporal Muhammad Fahrurrazi Bin Salim, 20, was the coxswain in a convoy of four boats used to support the water crossing segment of a jungle training exercise at Sungei Batu Apoi, Temburung.
Fahrurrazi was last seen wearing a life jacket on his boat at 7:55am, but at 8am his boat was noticed to have followed the convoy.
The convoy then turned around and found Fahrurrazi's boat at 8:01am, immeidately after which search operations were launched.
