16 Sep - Rumours of the marital breakdown between Gaile Lok and Leon Lai are being fuel further as it has been reported that Gaile is giving Leon the cold shoulder, despite being given a luxurious yacht and car.
According to Jayne Stars, Leon had spent HK$3.65 million (approximately SG$581,000) to purchase a luxurious yacht and car as a gift for his wife's 32nd birthday, but Gaile had reportedly refused to meet with Leon to test out her new yacht on his invitation.
Sources revealed that despite calling her out several times, Leon and his assistant went out to sea on the new yacht when Gaile did not turn up an hour later without a word.
Gaile personally acknowledged that Leon had bought her the gifts, but insinuated that she did not meet with her husband who is 13 years older than her.
"The beginning of autumn is rather cold. I like swimming and yachting but I have not been out to sea lately," she said during a promotional event recently.
Gaile's and Leon's marriage has been reported to be on the rocks and could be on its way to a divorce, when rumours that Gaile could be moving to the United States and Leon had resigned his position as chairman of a company that the couple owned together first came up.
