GLAY makes seven promises

5 Aug – Popular Japanese rock band GLAY made seven promises as a special surprise for their fans at the end of their two-day event recently.

According to Tokyo Hive, the band promised that they would be releasing two singles, composed by HISASHI and JIRO, simultaneously at the end of this year. This would be followed by two albums that would also be released simultaneously next year.

They also promised that they would do an arena tour from February 2013 onwards and an overseas tour during spring next year. They plan to hold the largest outdoor live event at their hometown of Hakodate, and keeping to their promise since 2005, they would also be holding their annual Tokyo Dome concert.

Lastly, TAKURO announced that they would be holding the "GLAY EXPO", which had not been held for nearly 10 years since, in the Tohoku prefecture to celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2014.

The "GLAY EXPO" is an extravagant event that has only been held four times since its inception, with the last being held in 2004 at Universal Studios Japan that brought in at least 200,000 fans in attendance.

The 50,000 fans present during the promises cheered so excitedly at that it touched vocalist TERU, who said to them, "We are going to make a declaration right here. We will be a band that always keeps our promises. We will not disband. As we fulfil our promises one by one, we want to make new ones and continue to be active always. We will never make you sad."
