Hugo Boss brightens up Berlin

Hugo by Hugo Boss' runway show brightened up Berlin with its Spring/Summer 2013 collection yesterday.

The luxe brand presented their new creations at Mercedes Benz Berlin Fashion Week, with celebrities including Kate Bosworth gracing the front row.

Shiny fabrics and iridescent materials dominated the collection, adding a touch of colour to the mainly monochrome palette. The cuts were as sleek and grown-up as ever, with tailored satin jackets in turquoise and pink coming down the catwalk.

Formal shirts were reinvented as chic, fitted evening dresses and long coats.

The German label added a futuristic touch with tops crafted from shimmering silver material, which glistened in the colours of the rainbow.

Panels made from the same fabric were sewn into evening gowns and skirts, adding an edge to the classic cuts.

The fashion house had followed similar design principles for its menswear collection, with models strutting their stuff in shiny, bright blue and dark green suits.

The classic suit was given a modern makeover with white jackets fading into black, separated by a purple and red bleeding effect. The edgy take on colour could also be found on shorts and shirts.

Marc Cain and Rena Lange also showed their creations for Spring/Summer 2013 at the fashion event yesterday.
