Iman excited for parent-inspired fashion show

Iman is looking forward to hosting the debut Strut: The Fashion Mom Show.

The former model will introduce proceedings at the Lincoln Center on February 16. The presentation is taking place during New York Fashion Week and sees a number of top designers donating clothes to be shown off by real women.

“As a mother of two and a fashion industry veteran, I am pleased to host Strut: The Fashionable Mom Show at Lincoln Center this season,” she told WWD.

Among the professionals coming up with outfits are Rachel Roy, Rebecca Minkoff, The Gap, Tory Burch and Chris Benz.

The MOMS, MOM-entum/Big Fuel and Getting Gorgeous are sponsoring the event, where everyday mothers will get the chance to sashay down the runway.

Douglas Hannant is also donating some pieces, and has agreed that his show set can also be used.

The presentation is free to attend and will be live-streamed. The idea is to show off fashionable outfits which are attainable for everyday moms and will make them look and feel great.
