Italian Beauty Monica Bellucci is Dolce and Gabbana's New Muse!

When it comes to raw beauty and sensuality few do it better than the Italian's. Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce are long time personal friends of the screen star who they have chosen as their new muse. She has appeared in films such as The Matrix – Reloaded and The Passion of the Christ and her typically Italian voluptuous sensuality and breathtaking beauty made her the perfect choice for a new range. As Stefano says himself: ‘She expresses perfectly the Dolce & Gabbana woman. She is ravishing – a true Italian icon.’ Domenico is just as complimentary about the actress and describes her beauty as ‘timeless’ and adding that she ‘never fails to inspire us.’ Not bad from two of the most well respected men in fashion.

The new range of limited edition Dolce&Gabbana Make Up collection and Monica Lipstick Collection will be launching in stores in May 2012 and it seems that Monica was just as happy to be working with the famous duo as they were with her:

‘I’m delighted to be working with Domenico and Stefano on this collaboration. We’ve been friends for many years as I modelled for them before I moved into film, so it’s really exciting to team up with them again. I love the idea of being a muse for their makeup line; that’s a huge compliment.’  

As admirers of everything that Monica stands for in Italian elegance Dolce and Gabbana found it only too fitting to celebrate her beauty and their friendship with a makeup range. Monica seems all too obliging in return; she has said that it was ‘so exciting to be involved in their creative process.’

Sigh, we all wish we had the same job of being Dolce & Gabbana’s muse…!
