Jackie Chan crockery collector

Jackie Chan is “interested in cups and saucers.”

The Hollywood star is renowned for portraying high-kicking action heroes, but in real life he is more sedate.

Jackie is fascinated by crockery and loves inspecting it when he is presented with a new piece.

“I’m interested in cups and saucers. Wherever I go, I sit down in a hotel with a cup of tea and start to inspect the cup. ‘Hmm, bone china…’ I collect a lot of them,” he told Empire magazine.

Hunting down valuable plates isn’t Jackie’s only unusual hobby. The 58-year-old star is also obsessed with cleaning as he can’t bear living in a dirty home.

“I clean to relax,” he explained. “I just love discipline. I love cleaning. I’m OCD.”

While whipping a duster around helps Jackie wind down, he’s less interested in music. The star never does karaoke and recalled a time when his teacher tried to convince him to sing for a living.

“When I was training as a boy, my master wanted me to do opera,” he recalled.

“It’s difficult; you have 50 minutes and only three words to sing. Nobody wants to hear opera anymore – it’s too slow. But my teachers didn’t know this. They were old-fashioned.”
