Jackie Chan's "Dragon Blade" to open Udine festival

9 Apr – Jackie Chan's new period epic, "Dragon Blade", has been selected to open the upcoming Far East Film Festival in Udine, according to Film Business Asia.

The movie, about exiled Chinese soldiers who teamed up with Roman soldiers to protect China's borders, also stars Hollywood actors John Cusack and Adrien Brody.

Meanwhile, Tsui Hark's "The Taking of Tiger Mountain 3D", starring Zhang Hanyu, Tony Leung [Kar Fai], and Lin Gengxin will be the closing film, though only the 2D version will be shown.

The 17th Far East Film Festival, to be held in Udine, Italy, will be running from 23 April to 2 May.
