Jolie-Pitt finally engaged!

19 Apr – It seemed that Hollywood's hottest couple had finally changed their minds about marriage. Recently, it has been announced that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, or nicknamed Brangelina by fans, were finally engaged, and will be set to tie the knot over the holidays.

According to Hollywood Life, the couple had been engaged since last December, and only revealed the news to the public now and it was said that just like most women, the usually composed Jolie shed tears when her man proposed.

"Brad had the ring designed last year and made sure it was ready by Christmas because he wanted a romantic Christmas proposal - and he got it," admitted a close friend of the groom-to-be.

"They didn't announce their engagement sooner because Angie was so focused on promoting her directorial debut, "In the Land of Blood and Honey".

"She also worried that the engagement would take over press on her film. There was some negative press on "Blood and Honey" that bothered her a lot, and she didn't feel the timing was right. So they waited."

The ring, which Jolie 36 debuted recently, was a sight to behold when she debuted it at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It was estimated to cost a staggering US$1 million.

The man responsible is none other than famed jewellery designer Robert Procop, who said that he and Pitt collaborated for over a year to craft the item.

As for their children, who have reportedly been after their parents to finally tie the knot, were extremely happy as well now that they had.v "Everyone hugged once she put [the ring] on. She went around and showed it to each of the kids."
