Justin Lin to direct next "Bourne"

18 Nov – After leaving the "Fast & Furious 7" project due to its fast-tracking schedule, Justin Lin is back in the director's chair for Universal Pictures, but for the next instalment in the "Bourne" franchise. Justin will also produce the action film together with returning producers Frank Marshall, Jeffrey Weiner and Ben Smith.

The follow-up to "The Bourne Legacy" will continue the adventures of the genetically enhanced CIA agent Aaron Cross. Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as Cross, but it is uncertain if Matt Damon, who played Jason Bourne in the previous "Bourne" films, will join him this time as Matt has voiced his interest in returning. Additionally, the film is the fifth "Bourne" film in the franchise.

"The Bourne Legacy" was released in 2012 but reception to the film has been mixed. The film grossed a total of USD 276,144,750 worldwide.
