    Kate Bosworth’s red hot beauty

She might be better known for her trademark boho chic but blonde bombshell Kate Bosworth rocked the red carpet this week with a daring new look.

The actress looked sensational in a scarlet Antonio Berardi dress as she arrived at the premiere of her new film Black Rock at the Sundance Film Festival.

But it was her ravishing make-up that got us talking as she teamed her ensemble with striking scarlet lips, understated eyes and nude nails.

    Skin

Blessed with flawless porcelain skin, Kate’s make-up artist didn’t exactly have her work cut out. But if you fancy stealing Ms. Bosworth’s luminous look, opt for a light foundation such as Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation in Porcelain Ivory. You can warm up the look by blending a cream blusher, such as Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge over the apples of the cheeks and along the cheekbones.

    Lips

For a red-hot pucker like Kate’s, texture is key. If you fancy paying homage to old-school Hollywood glamour, choose a gloss such as Dolce & Gabbana’s Classic Cream Lipstick in Iconic. But if you want a fresh, modern look like Kate’s Sundance style, opt for a long-lasting matte such as Mac Lipstick in Ruby Woo.

    Eyes

In contrast to her ravishing red lips, Kate took the less is more approach with her eyes. For defined yet understated lashes, use a light weight mascara such as Maybelline’s Define-A-Lash.

    Hair

Not for the feint-hearted, this slicked-back style can be an unforgiving look to pull off. But Kate rocked this season’s sleek ponytail trend with aplomb. For an ultra-glossy pony like Kate’s, use a hair serum, such as Bed Head’s Control Freak Defrizz and Smooth Serum to tame any frizz and stray fly-aways.

    Nails

She might have gone all out with the red hot frock and scarlet pout but Kate kept her nails simple in nude. The trend for neutral talons shows no sign of waning with nail brands such as OPI and Jessica launching new nude hues this season.
