** UPDATE ** According to the Royal Contributor for CBS News, Victoria Arbiter, Clarence House have confirmed that William and Kate are not participating in Sport Relief this year and so are not running a mile. Oh boo.
She’s perfected the red carpet outfits, but how will the Duchess of Cambridge cope with her next public performance? It’s said that Kate will run a mile through London as part of Sports Relief. Along with her husband Prince William – who has long been a keen supporter of the charity – the couple are in talks with the charity about jogging down The Mall as part of fundraising activity on 25 March 2012. 'We are in talks with the Prince's representatives and understand he is eager to support the event, as he has done previously. We're hopeful Kate will be able to do it too,' a source from the charity told The Daily Mirror.
Kate is a keen sportswoman. Before her wedding she apparently went running around their home in Anglesey to shape up and her sister Pippa is often seen doing competitive races. But if the running will be easy for Kate, surely this presents her with a sartorial challenge. What exercise gear is suitable for a young royal? Allow us to make a few suggestions…
