19 Aug – Following the recent rumours that "The Twilight Saga" lead actress, Kristen Stewart, is no longer appearing in the upcoming sequel of "Snow White And The Huntsman" that is all the rage on the Internet, the film's studio, Universal Pictures, have immediately taken the liberty to clarify that those rumours were baseless, and that the actress is still in the cast line-up for the fantasy film's sequel, according to Entertainment Wise.
"We are extremely proud of "Snow White and the Huntsman" and we're currently exploring all options to continue the franchise. Any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false," said Universal's co-chair, Donna Langley.
However, Universal has yet to confirm whether Rupert Sanders, the man who got cosy with Stewart, which led to the churning of the rumour mill, will return to helm the camera for the second instalment of "Snow White And The Huntsman", which grossed over US$389 million at the worldwide box office this year.
The 22-year-old actress may still be on for the feature film adaptation of the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale, but she has been confirmed to have pulled out of her other project, Nick Cassavetes' gritty actioner "Cali", although it remains to be seen if she will still produce the film, which will be her debut role as a producer.
Following the revelation of her cheating on her "The Twilight Saga" co-star Robert Pattinson with Sanders, Stewart, 22, have been heavily criticized by the public and media since.
Fortunately, the star received a public defence from her former "Panic Room" co-star and Oscar winner Jodie Foster, who blasted the media for causing inappropriate interruption to Stewart's acting career with her cheating scandal.
"If I had to grow up in this media culture, I don't think I could survive it emotionally. Of life as a target of paparazzi and criticism," said Foster, "We seldom consider the childhoods we unknowingly destroy in the process."
