FIRST LOOK: Alessandra Ambrosio For Melissa Shoes

Those clever folk at Melissa have already collaborated with some of fashion land's most iconic designers to bring us their fabtastic range of colourful plastic shoes (if you haven't already, then check out Vivienne Westwood's ice-cream coloured beauties or Gareth Pugh's fierce black and white sandals - you can thank us later!). Now they're teaming up with one of our favourite supermodels, Alessandra Ambrosio, to bring us two exclusive designs for Melissa Loves - their very first celebrity endorsed line.

Alessandra (who has previously lent her name to a swimwear range) confessed that she jumped at the chance to work with the shoe label, "Melissa is a global design brand, highly respected worldwide, and that is why I thought it could be the right fit for me". She also revealed that, had things been a little different, the range might have been called Melissa Loves Melissa! "I grew up with Melissa [shoes], which was suppose to be my name... But in the end my mother chose Alessandra". Either way, we think the results are well worth a look - just clock a load of these cuties...

With their glittery finish, chic round toe and adorable glittery bow these Incense Glitter Alessandra Loves heels are just the ticket for our Spring / Summer wardrobes! The super has also designed a pair of glittery ballet flats - the Divine Alessandra Loves - for girls who do glam on the run. With her jetsetting lifestyle, we bet Alessandra knows a thing or two about being stylish and comfortable!

Here's a glimpse of Alessandra - wearing the silver version of her Incense Glitter Alessandra Loves heels - gracing the cover of Issue 7 of Melissa's own magazine, Plastic Dreams. Shot on location in London by Sandrine Dullermo and Michael Labica, the gorgeous shoot [you can check out some behind-the-scenes pics in our gallery above] was inspired by religious iconography, stained glass and the paintings of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. We think she looks heavenly!

You'll be able to get your hands on a pair (or maybe two!) come August, and we're not the only ones who are impatient for them to hit stores. Alessandra is excited to see her shoes on the streets, "I cant wait for the launch party so everyone will be able to own a pair of Alessandra loves Melissa"! Make a date in your diaries, ladies!

You can check out our behind-the-scenes gallery of Miss Ambrosio's shoot above and let us know which pair you'll be snapping up!
