L'Oreal ignores Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor

5 Sep – Well-known cosmetic brand L'Oreal's latest campaign "Privée" has shocked many as two of Bollywood's most beautiful women who are also their brand ambassadors are absent in the main print advertisement.

The two who were snubbed are well known Bollywood actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor, who also represented the brand in the 66th Cannes Annual Film Festival that took place in May 2013.

The advertisement featured international actresses such as Jane Fonda, Julianne Moore, Fan Bingbing, Eva Longoria, Leila Bekhti, Doutzen Kroes, Ines de La Fressange, but the only Indian actress featured was Freida Pinto ("Slumdog Millionaire").

According to Bollywood Celeb Den, the brand's spokesperson wanted "different versions featuring different group of ambassadors".

Regardless, the absence of Aishwarya and Sonam, who have been the main faces of L'Oreal for years, and the inclusion of 28-year-old Freida Pinto have caused many to raise their eyebrows.
