Malaysia Airlines to mark 40-yr with 'irresistible' deals

Petaling Jaya (The Star/ANN) - Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will offer its customers "irresistible" travel deals for both domestic and international travel in conjunction with its 40th anniversary celebrations.

Under the banner of "40 Years of Amazing Journeys Together", the airline will offer great deals covering fares from Malaysia to various MAS destinations in Southeast Asia, North Asia, South Asia, Australia, North America and Europe.

"It has been 40 wonderful years with numerous milestones for Malaysia Airlines," said MAS regional senior vice-president for Malaysia/Asean Muzammil Mohamad.

"In commemoration of the four decades of flying as Malaysia Airlines and delivering world-renowned Malaysian Hospitality, we have launched a series of year-long activities to celebrate the 40 years of support from customers and staff."

Muzammil said great deals on economy class air fares, which would be discounted up to 20 per cent and 35 per cent off current market fares for domestic and international travel respectively, were available from now till November 5.

Additionally, he said, business class fares discounted up to 40 per cent for domestic travel and 45 per cent for international travel were also available for booking.

These fares are valid for travel with immediate effect till June 30 next year.

Muzammil added that MASholidays, the travel arm of Malaysia Airlines, had also designed all-inclusive attractive package tours for customers, such as a five-day four-night London-Paris Eurostar package priced at 5,240 ringgit, inclusive of Eurostar train tickets.

He said these offers and more would be available at Malaysian Airline's booths at the MITM Travel Fair on October 26-28 at Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur.
