MGPA, a private equity property investment advisory firm, has moved its Singapore office to the recently completed Tower 1 in Asia Square, its flagship development.
Situated in Marina Bay, the environmentally friendly Grade A property comprises more than two million sq ft of premium office space, 60,000 sq ft of retail space, a 100,000 sq ft fully sheltered landscaped plaza called "The Cube" and a 305-room five-star luxury Westin hotel.
"We are immensely proud of Asia Square and many of the unique features which have been incorporated into the development, making it such an attractive place to work, which is why we are excited about moving in," said Simon Treacy, Chief Executive Officer of MGPA.
"Big names such as Citibank, our anchor tenant, Julius Baer and Google, agree with us, and marketing Tower One is going well." Asia Square features large floor plates extending up to 35,000 sq ft, sophisticated air handling and treatment systems and top indoor air quality.
Asia Square bagged two property awards at the recently-concluded 2011 Asia Pacific Property Awards — the Best Mixed Use Development award and the Highly Commended Office Development award. It also received a Green Mark Platinum award from Singapore's Building & Construction Authority (BCA), as well as US LEED (CS) Platinum pre-certification, a top award in environmental sustainability.
Meanwhile, Asia Square Tower 2, which will house the Westin hotel, is scheduled to open in 2013.
