Miley Cyrus and Pink play style snap at MTV Video Music Awards

Miley Cyrus and Pink rocked such similar looks at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards last night, that we’re starting to wonder if they’re actually a style double-act!

While Pink was rocking her trademark blonde quiff with some added height, a sheer silver dress and long dangly earrings, Miley’s wardrobe played out in much the same way.

Showing off her rather radical new look, the former Disney star slicked her own freshly shorn hair up into a towering peroxide ‘do, adding dangly lightening bolt earrings and a floor-sweeping black dress.

Complete with sheer panels, Miley’s dress showed off her teeny tiny frame with a whisper of her body art, propelling her look even further towards Pink’s signature fierce vibe.

It seems the ‘new’ Miley isn’t too happy with the comparison though.

Taking to her Twitter after last night’s ceremony, the singer wrote:

“Woahhj 2 girls have blonde short hair! The whole world should go in to panic mode. Redickkkk”

Ooh Miley, check you and your punky temper!

Let’s hope she doesn’t want to get in a fight about it.

  • Singaporean filmmaker gets 15-minute standing ovation at Cannes

Singaporean director Anthony Chen described as “surreal” the 15-minute standing ovation that followed the world premiere of his debut feature film "Ilo Ilo" at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday.
