Miss Hong Kong finalist's photo scandal

18 Jun – The Miss Hong Kong 2012 beauty pageant has been hit by a photo scandal, involving one of their 16 finalists as racy photos of her were leaked online.

According to Diva Asia, photos of finalist Kayley Chung had been circulating on the Internet, with one of them depicting her and her naked boyfriend in a bathtub and his genitals covered by a tap. Another photo showed Chung exposing her cleavage.

The 26-year-old Chung had allegedly claimed that she had not taken any racy photos before, and explained that the leaked photo of her and her boyfriend were taken when they were on holiday in Thailand several years ago.

"I had not thought of participating in the (Miss Hong Kong) competition then. But when I decided to take part, I deleted all the photos. I don't know why there is still one left on my boyfriend's Facebook," she said.

Chung said that she has not intentions of pulling out from the competition, although this scandal has put the organisers of the pageant in a spot, where they expect their contestants to have a 'clean' image to the public.

"I will do what the organiser has planned for me, but I know I will not win," Chung said.

Kayley Chung, is one of 16 finalists that will be competing for the title of Miss Hong Kong on 26 August. Among the other contestants is TVB actor Tong Chun Chung's daughter Roxanne Tong.
