Move over planking. It's time for batmanning.

These web trends just seem to get harder and, some might say, more ridiculous. After planking, owling and horsemanning, now comes "batmanning".

To perform "batmanning", you have to pretend you're the Dark Knight, and hang like a bat on walls, ledges, train railings or any other place that allows you to slot your feet in and hang upside down.

This ridiculously dangerous stunt was started by four Purdue University students who decided that planking, owling, horsemanning are passé.

They call themselves the Batman Boilers and released a YouTube video that went viral in just a few days.

The "sport" has already gained a huge following and many people have uploaded photos of themselves imitating the caped crusader.

There is, of course, a Facebook group for batmanning. It currently has some 69,000 members and about 100 photos added.

Will you try 'batmanning'?
