Movenpick soft launches hotel in Singapore

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has announced the soft launch of Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa, its first property in Singapore, with the grand opening scheduled for the end of the year.

"We are thrilled to be entering the Singapore market. By creating a unique hotel that manages to look to the future while respecting the past at the same time, we're able to provide something for everyone," said Andreas Mattmüller, Chief Operating Officer for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Middle East and Asia.

Located in the heart of Sentosa, the five-star hotel represents the colonial history and modern style of the nation in its striking interiors, which was designed by renowned Japanese company, Super Potato.

The hotel's facilities are spread across two distinct wings: the traditional Heritage wing, which depicts the country's colonial heritage dating back to the 1940s, and the new Contemporary wing, which showcases modern architecture, providing a luxurious experience to discerning visitors.

The Contemporary wing offers uniquely designed rooms and suites, meetings and conference facilities and dining and entertainment options. It features 105 well-equipped Deluxe rooms with 19 Onsen Suites, two Penthouse Suites and three Executive Suites. The Onsen suites offer Japanese-style hot tubs, while the Penthouse Suites feature private rooftop pools.

All rooms are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi internet access and flat screen LCD TVa with integrated media systems.

Dining options in the hotel include Library, which provides snacks and refreshments and Tea Lounge, which serves breakfast and other international food items.

"We are very excited to start welcoming guests to our property and to delight them with the renowned hospitality of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts," said Rodney Tan, Group Chairman of Cairnhill Group Holdings Pte Ltd.
