Natalie Portman has vegan wedding feast

Natalie Portman decided on an entirely vegan menu for her wedding.

The actress and dancer Benjamin Millepied tied the knot in Big Sur, California, at the weekend. They decided on a Jewish ceremony which took place during the evening.

Further details have emerged about the nuptials and it’s now known that guests feasted on a meal in keeping with Natalie’s diet. The 31-year-old star is a vegan, so doesn’t eat meat or any food made from animal products.

The brunette actress opted for a white Rodarte prom style dress which fell to her calf and featured a high neckline and chiffon sleeves.

“Her dress was stunning, not overly showy or revealing. Very much her own subtle and pretty personal style - she always has a hippie theme, whatever she does,” a source told In Touch Weekly.

Natalie wore a flowered head piece, while the blooms which decorated the venue were locally sourced.

Pictures of the happy couple – who have a son called Aleph together - laughing and dancing have been made public and they are seen wrapped in traditional Jewish shawls during proceedings.

Their ceremony lasted around 45 minutes, with guests including Macaulay Culkin, Rashida Jones and Ivanka Trump in attendance as they exchanged vows overlooking the sea.

“Natalie looked so happy and was glowing. It was a beautiful day for her and Benjamin to celebrate with those they hold closest,” the insider added.

The party carried on until 2am, with Natalie and Benjamin lifted up on chairs by their guests at one point. As people left they were presented with packets of flower seeds, with ‘merci’ – the French word for thank you – written on them.
