"Penguins" is top 3 in M'sia, S'pore and U.S.

9 Dec – "The Penguins of Madagascar" had lost its top spot to "The Pyramid" in Malaysia and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" in the U.S., but it managed to stay at first place in Singapore for last weekend's box office collection for 4 to 7 December 2014.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1" is unbeatable in U.S. as it stays put in first place for the third week running with a weekend gross of USD22.0 million, while "The Penguins of Madagascar" which collected USD 10.9 million, is still second for the second week running.

Aside from that, the comedy film "Horrible Bosses 2" collected a total of USD 8.4 million last weekend and also managed to climb from fifth place to third place.

In Malaysia, "The Penguins of Madagascar" has been pushed down to second place as the horror film "The Pyramid" advanced to the top in its opening weekend. Meanwhile, "Big Hero 6" is still in third place for the third week running now.

"The Penguins of Madagascar" managed to maintain first place at Singapore's box office while "Mockingjay" and "Big Hero 6" also maintained their second and third place respectively.

Also opening in Malaysia last week; "Action Jackson", "Chaar Sahibzaade", "The Evil Room", "Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day", "Hi-5 Some Kind Of Wonderful", "Rentap", "Frozen Sing Along", "The Crossing (Part 1)" and "Gila Baby".

Other new movies that opened in Singapore last week; "Action Jackson", "The Crossing", "Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day", The Pyramid", "Initial D Movie" and "Nightcrawler".
