The Philippines’ award-winning Pretentious Game coming on December 5

Pretentious Game, the imaginative award-winning game from Keybol Games is coming to the App Store and Google Play on December 5. Pretentious Game was been developed by Philippine game studio Keybol Games and will be published by BulkyPix.

In a previous article, we described how Pretentious Game plays with a person’s imagination through the use of amazing storytelling and simplicity in design. The game is a trilogy and the first chapter can be downloaded for free while the rest of the chapters can be bought for $0.99 via in-app purchase. In one of my previous conversations with Keybol Games’ Bari Silvestre, he mentioned of the possibility of more chapters to come. Whether the next chapters will be connected to the current storyline or have a new plot all by themselves is yet to be confirmed.

At the recent San Francisco Connect 2013, Pretentious Game won the Director’s Choice Award and was nominated for Best Storytelling. At the moment, it is one of the entries in the 16th Annual Independent Games Festival (IGF) 2014. For those who are curious, here is the official Pretentious Game trailer:
