“Breastfeeding photography is very special to me,” writes Munich, Germany-based photographer Tammy Nicole. “It is one of those things in life you cannot seem to find the correct words to describe what it makes you feel.”

In honour of World Breastfeeding Week, the photographer rounded up some of her favourite photographs of breastfeeding moms and turned it into a video project she calls “Walks of Motherhood.”

She also asked mothers included in the video what breastfeeding means to them.

“It makes me feel unbelievably close to my baby. It gives us a bond that can never be taken apart,” says one mom.

“It is our moment to forget everything else,” adds another. “We cuddle, we hug, we connect, we feel each other’s touch…and we feel the mutual love.”
